Progression & badges

A pathway that grows with the student

Students earn Certiva AI Literacy badges as they progress. Badges are a lifetime achievement — no recertification.

Grades 3–5 · Understand

AI Explorer

AI awareness, basic concepts and safe use. Ten lessons (~7.5 hours), quizzes, reflections and an “AI in My Life” project.

Grades 6–8 · Apply

AI Citizen

Practical AI use, ethics and simple projects. Fifteen lessons (~12.5 hours), a bias audit and a responsible-use pledge.

Grades 9–12 · Create

AI Innovator

AI creation, advanced applications and careers. Twenty lessons (~18 hours), a capstone, ethics case study and career portfolio.

Student AI literacy is optional for accreditation but strongly encouraged — and it directly strengthens Domain 6 of the AI-Ready Standard.

Licensed per school, per year

Elementary, Middle, High School or Full K–12 licences — plus district licensing for networks.
